چکیده
To respond to the changing needs of the industry for non-traditional electrical measurements many national laboratories including the National Research Council of Canada (NRC), the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), the Physikalisch Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB), the National Physical Laboratory (NPL), and the Swedish National Testing and Research Institute (SP) have developed and currently operate nonsinusoidal calibration systems. A direct comparison of these systems is not practical since they are not meant to be easily transportable. Instead a stable source of distorted voltage and current waveforms is used as a transfer standard to compare the calibration systems.

A Hybrid Switching Technique for Single-Phase AC-Module PV System to Reduce Power Losses and Minimize THD
This paper proposes a hybrid switching technique for a domestic PV system with AC-module architecture. In this PV system, independent control of PV modules, which are directly connected to DC terminals of a single-phase cascaded multilevel inverter, makes module-level MPPT possible to extract maximum available solar energy, especially in partial shading conditions. As one of the main contributi...
متن کاملThe Minimum Dissipated Active and Reactive Power: an Equilibrium State of the Circuits Under Nonsinusoidal Conditions
The use of the power and energy functional in the analysis of the electric circuits makes it possible to appreciate the energetic equilibrium state attained in the circuit at a certain moment. This paper is concerned with a demonstration of the principle of minimum dissipated active power for the steady state circuits under nonsinusoidal conditions. It is shown that the equilibrium state is one...
متن کاملANOVELMONITORINGTECHNIQUE TO DEFINE CP CRITERIA FOR BURIED PIPELINES UNDER AC CORROSION CONDITION
Abstract: The risks of alternating current (AC) corrosion and overprotection increasingly demand new criteria forcathodically protected pipelines. To assess the risk of AC corrosion, new cathodic protection (CP) criteria have beenproposed based on DC/AC current densities measurements using coupons. The monitoring system designed for thisproject was based on the instant-off method, with steel co...
متن کاملCOMPARATIVE ACTIVE CURRENT CALCULATION BY p-q AND CPC THEORIES
− This paper studies the possibilities of decomposition of the current in three-phase, three-wire systems based on the classic p-q theory proposed by Akagi and further developed and, respectively, on the Czarnecki’s theory. In the case of distorted current absorbed by a nonlinear load, the resulted components can be used to generate the reference compensating current in three-phase active power...
متن کاملPower SystemAnalysis for Nonsinusoidal Steady State Studies Based onWavelets
In this paper power system model is represented in a new domain that relates to Multi-Resolution Analysis (MRA) space. By developing mathematical model of elements in this space using Galerkin method, a new alternative method for power system simulation in nonsinusoidal and periodic conditions is developed. The mathematical formulation and characteristics of new proposed space is expressed. Als...
